5:00pm 7/25 update: SCS Family please be in prayer for Derek Bass, a recent SCS graduate who was involved in a car accident last night. Derek is in critical but stable condition. He recognizes his family and has been able to move his extremities.

God's Provision

In the beginning……..1995

Statesville Christian School opened in the fall of 1995 with 61 students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Classes were held in the Western Avenue Baptist Church.

 

Northview Acquisition

In 2001, SCS purchased the land and facilities of Northview Church of Christ.  Enrollment was at an all time high of 242 students.  In 2002, construction began on the Linda Kester Memorial Academic and Athletic Complex.  This 22,500 sq. ft. facility opened in September 2003.

 

Gaither Acquisition

In 2004, SCS purchased the Sam Gaither property.  This 12 acre site located just east of our elementary campus at Western Avenue Baptist Church will be for a new SCS High School.  God has so abundantly blessed us and we are eager to see what He will do in the next ten years!

 

Major Accomplishments

  • Accredited by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
  • Serving students from Iredell, Alexander, Catawba, Davie, Rowan, Wilkes, and Mecklenburg Counties
  • All graduates attending college
  • Four full four-year athletic scholarships awarded to seniors – Class of 2004, 2005
  • SAT scores significantly above local, state and national averages
  • Number one ranked tennis teams, boys and girls, in North Carolina
  • Ranked Second in the Wachovia Cup Standings for outstanding athletic programs
