Tuition Assistance Policies
It is our hope that every family who sincerely desires to have their children at Statesville Christian School will be able to do so regardless of their financial situation. At the same time, we must balance our stewardship responsibility to compensate our teachers and staff according to Biblical principles. Financial aid awards are granted for a maximum period of one school year. We ask families to reapply each spring. To maintain the fiscal integrity of the school and to provide as many families as possible access to financial aid, grants will generally not exceed 50% of tuition. Priority for consideration in granting financial aid is given to SCS faculty/staff, Ordained Ministers, currently enrolled families, students enrolled in upper grades, and students enrolled in classes with vacancies. Financial aid is not available for junior kindergarten. New families, who apply for financial aid and do not receive as much aid as they believe they can adequately manage, may have their enrollment fee reimbursed upon request. Financial aid may be forfeited if the student is placed on probation due to academic, behavior or attendance deficiencies, or if a the balance of the account is more than sixty days past due.
Tuition Assistance Procedures
Students must have been formally admitted to Statesville Christian School prior to consideration for financial assistance. After receiving the acceptance letter, parents should forward the enrollment form and fees to the school office. Once the enrollment form and fees have been received, then a financial aid packet can be requested. This packet contains specific instructions that parents should follow to be considered for financial aid. If there are extenuating circumstances not reflected on the CFA application, you may submit a letter to the SCS Business Office to be reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee.
Due to the limited amount of funds available, parents are encouraged to complete this process as early as possible. Students must complete the enrollment process, apply for financial aid, and the results from the outside agency need to be in the SCS office by March 31, 2010. |
