The PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship) continually strives to create a greater fellowship among the parents, teachers, staff, and student body of Statesville Christian School. Our mission is to assist in raising funds that will directly benefit and enhance the learning experience of students by providing additional resources and encouragement to teachers and staff. Also, through prayer, we provide a spiritual covering for the families of SCS.
 
PTF officers are elected yearly. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month (August – April) at 1:30 p.m. in the Elementary School volunteer room. Please come join us!
 
  

Fund Raising Projects sponsored by PTF:

 

  • SCRIP: An innovative way of purchasing retail gift cards at discount prices and selling them for face value. Orders are processed weekly.

 

  • Uniform Resale (Elementary): Collection and re-sale of pre-owned uniforms to families of elementary students at very low prices.

 

  • Family Night Out (FNO): Last Tuesday of the month. Families eat at designated restaurants and a portion of the sales is given to PTF.

 

  • Box Tops & Tyson Labels: Families collect box tops and Tyson labels that are submitted for cash exchange from the companies.

 

  • Christmas Store (Elementary/ Middle School): A fun and great place for students to shop for Christmas gifts for their families and friends.

 

  • School Floats: Coke/Root Beer Floats are offered three times a year for our students and staff.

 

  • Butter Braids: Due to our great success in the fall of 2009, the Butter Braids sale will return fall, 2010.

 

  • Merchant Rewards: PTF and SCS receive funds based on your purchases at various stores to include Target, Food Lion, Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter, and Lands End.

 

 

Non–Fund Raising Projects:

 

 

 

  • Moms In Touch (MIT): A confidential prayer group, meets on Wednesday mornings, 8:15 a.m., to pray for our students, their families, and for our school. Prayer requests can be submitted via email. (Click Here.)

 

  • Ambassadors: (Jr.K – 8th) Class representatives dedicated to ministering to class families through prayer and offering of assistance in times of need. Sponsors Back to School parties and Grandparents’ Day in the Elementary School.

 

  • Staff Appreciation: Sends notes and cards to teachers; recognizes each academic department/grade throughout the year.

 

  • Hospitality: Prepares and serves meals to teachers and staff at various times throughout the year.

 

  • Lunchroom Coordinators: Recruits volunteers to assist in serving lunch to all students.

 

 

 

  

PTF also co-sponsors Homecoming in the fall and assists with many other activities sponsored by SCS.
