Parent Testimonies
“Our kids are taught the same values by their teachers as they are at home and church.” (Parents of a 3rd and 5th) “SCS offers to me the TOTAL package; excellent education, spiritual enrichment, caring teachers, and all loving atmosphere.” (Parents of a 4th and 6th grader) “My children are loved and challenged at SCS. As a parent, I can always talk to their teachers and principal.” (Parents of a 5th & 7th grade) “The following is a journal entry our child wrote at home that was neither prompted nor edited. I was touched when I read it and hope you are as well. I certainly didn’t think like this when I was a child. What a strong reinforcement for why we choose to have our child attend a Christian school. At Statesville Christian the children are given a Godly perspective in every subject and shown “important” people, even in science and history, who see God’s hand in their work and stand by their faith and biblical principles. Isn’t it nice that we not only have the best teachers around, but ones who are able to broaden our children’s perspective beyond the standard public school textbook material?” Journal Entry February 8, 2008 Today was a beautiful day. Cooler than yesterday, but still nice. In school, we watched a movie. This guy talked about the universe. He showed a picture taken in space. It showed rays of light from the sun coming down. And in the midst of one of the beams, there was a speck. It was as big as dust. That speck was Earth. When astronauts saw it, they didn’t feel big, they felt so small. That’s true. We are just tiny, little beings that God cares about so much. When scientists discover things and are amazed, God probably laughs and says, “Just keep looking… I’ve got so much more.” I’m so blessed to have a God so caring, he died for me. For all of us. Sometimes we take that for granted. He loves us all. And I love Him. [5th grade]
