Bryan Andrews
Bryan Andrews has served previously on the Statesville Christian School Board of Trustees as a member and as Board Chair, and he returns to the Board as of July 1, 2009.
Bryan grew up in Statesville, NC, graduating from Statesville Senior High School in 1973. He graduated from Davidson College in 1977 with a BA in Psychology and began his career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in June of 1977.
Bryan and his wife, Keg, were married in 1986 and made their home in Charlotte from 1986 until 1990, when they moved to Statesville. In 1987 both Bryan and Keg became believers in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. They have three daughters, Sydney (a sophomore at UNC-CH), Ross (a junior at Statesville Christian School), and Ellie (an 8th grader at Statesville Christian School). Sydney was a member of the first graduating class (’08) that started as kindergarteners, when Statesville Christian School opened its doors in the fall of 1995; Ross and Ellie have been at SCS since K-4. Keg has been active in many areas of school life including Moms In Touch prayer group. The Andrews are active in the life of their church, Western Avenue Baptist Church, where Bryan serves as a Deacon.
The pursuit of an academically excellent education thoroughly grounded in God and His Word has been a passion for Bryan and Keg since their eyes were opened in the mid-1990’s to its tremendous importance for our children, our society, and our world. Bryan enjoys coaching middle school volleyball and has had a recent stint as boys varsity tennis team coach. The Andrews enjoy time together being active with family and friends.

Andy Baity
Andy joined the Statesville Christian School Board of Trustees in July of 2005. He currently serves as the Board Treasurer and as a Governance Committee member. Andy also enjoys working with the girls’ varsity basketball program at SCS, which his oldest daughter is a member of.
He received his associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Catawba Valley Technical College and has worked for Duke Energy Corporation in Charlotte, NC for their Telecom Division the past 23 years.
In addition to his service to Statesville Christian School, Andy is an active member of Faith Baptist Church. While serving at Faith as a Deacon, he also has served on the Finance Committee, Building and Grounds, Pastor Search Committee, Sunday School teacher, and various other volunteer roles.
Andy and his wife Amy have been married for 21 years. They are the parents to Abby (10th grade) and Amber (7th grade), currently enrolled at Statesville Christian School.

Julie Rodin
Julie joined the Statesville Christian School Board of Trustees in June of 2006. In this capacity, she works diligently to improve the school and community by serving in volunteer positions: SCS Board, Moms’ in touch, Athletic Boosters and Pregnancy Resource Center.
After receiving her Associates Degree in Aviation Management from Mt. San Antonio College, La Verne, California, Julie went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State College, Denver, Colorado. Currently, she retired from US Airways and currently works in volunteer positions: SCS Board, Moms’ in touch, Athletic Boosters and Pregnancy Resource Center.
In addition to her service to Statesville Christian School, Julie is an active member of Western Avenue Baptist Church. She is also a member of the Choir at Western Avenue.
Julie and her husband, Eric, have been married for 22 years. They are the parents to three children: Alex, a Statesville Christian School 2007 graduate now attending classes at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia; Nikki, currently a junior at Statesville Christian School; Luke, currently enrolled in the eighth grade at Statesville Christian School.

Tommy Southern
Tommy joined the Statesville Christian School Board of Trustees in February 2008. In this capacity, he works diligently to improve the ministry and purpose of the school by serving as the Chairman of the Governance Committee.
He received his Diploma in Funeral Service from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta in August 1990. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a concentration in New Testament Greek and Christian Ministry from Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC, in May 1999. Currently, he serves in church ministry as pastor of Northview Wesleyan Church in Statesville and works as a funeral director and embalmer at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville, NC.
In addition to his service to Statesville Christian School, Tommy is also a member of the Board of Directors for United Way of Iredell County.
Tommy and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 18 years. They are the parents to three children: Caleb who is currently enrolled in the 8th grade at Statesville Christian School, Abbey who is currently enrolled in the 4th grade at Statesville Christian School, and Josiah who is currently enrolled in the 1st grade at Statesville Christian School.

Jackie Swope
Jacqueline Swope joined the Statesville Christian School Board of Trustees in 2007. As an emphatic supporter of Christian education with a Biblical worldview, she feels honored to serve our faculty and student body.
In addition to her service at Statesville Christian School, Jackie is an active member of Bethel Baptist Church where she has contributed in a variety of roles including children’s Sunday School director, AWANA leader, Women On Mission President, and founder of the Live Nativity at the Iredell Co. Fairgrounds.
Jackie and her husband, Curtis, have been married for 19 years. As parents of four, they have seen firsthand the benefits and necessity of training up Godly children with a firm foundation in God’s Word. While Posey, Jonathan, and Andrew are still in daily training, Matthew, a 2008 SCS graduate, is continuing his education at East Carolina University.

Richard Todd
Richard Todd joined the Statesville Christian School Board of Trustees in July, 2007. As vice-chair, he led the Governance Committee and served on the Finance Committee. In July, 2008, Richard accepted the role of Board Chair.
Richard grew up in Charlotte, NC and attended K-12 at Charlotte Christian School. His passion for Christian education grew out of that experience. Richard went on to earn his BSBA with degrees in Risk & Insurance as well as Finance from Appalachian State University in 1991. After graduation, Richard moved to Statesville to work as a broker for the Webb Insurance Agency which later became part of BB&T Insurance Services.
In addition to his service to Statesville Christian School, Richard is an active member and elder at Taylorsville Bible Chapel. He and his family are also very active in volunteer work at Hickory Cove Bible Camp. He loves soccer and helps coach one of our boys’ soccer teams.
Richard and his wife, Connie, have been married since 1993. Their son, Benjamin is in the 4th grade and they have a new son, Jeremy, who was just born in April 2009.
When they have nothing else to do, Richard, Connie & Benjamin head to the mountains for one of many outdoor activities that they love to participate in.
