Before coming to SCS she taught art in private and public schools as well as private small group art lessons at Fairview Fine Arts Academy and in Virginia. Mrs. Edwards worked at Summit Ministries in CO in the summers for 12 years training and leading the summer staff for the Christian worldview summer conference ministry.  She and her husband, Chuck, worked with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) for 8 ½ years just out of college in TX.  Mrs. Edwards received training at the Institute of Biblical Studies through CRU. She holds a degree in art from ETSU. She lives in Statesville with her husband. She has two daughters and two grandsons. She greatly enjoys her family, watercolor painting and nature. Philippians 1:6 reminds her that Christ is always working in the students and faculty.
