Answers to some questions you may have:

  • Regular Safety Drills are performed to include:
    • Fire, Tornado, and Lock Down
  • Secure campus; all exterior doors locked.
  • We encourage parent volunteers at lunch and during athletic events.
  • There are several athletic participation activities available to our students:
    • Varsity teams offered in the following sports:
      • Basketball
      • Volleyball
      • Cross Country
      • Soccer (boys 9-12, girls 7-12)
      • Cheerleading
      • Tennis (7-12)
      • Golf
      • Baseball (7-12)
  • Students have the opportunity to earn college credit during high school through AP
    courses and dual enrollment courses at Mitchell Community College.
  • All upper school students have the opportunity to go on educational trips.
    • High school students may travel domestically or internationally during our Winterim
      program in late February. Recent trips include England/France, Italy, and Creation
      Museum.
    • At the conclusion of the junior year, students have the opportunity to serve on the
      Junior Mission trip to the Short Creek Dream Center in Hildale, Utah.
    • Seniors end their high school experience with their Senior Mission trip to the Dominican
      Republic with SCORE International.
    • Winterim is a special educational experience held in late February.
      • High school students have the option of two
        Winterim classes, internships, or an educational trip. Winterim classes are hands-on,
        experiential learning classes led by SCS teachers or local community members.
